Terms of Use
Please read these terms carefully before using Doggler.
Last updated: May 11, 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using Doggler, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. What Doggler is
Doggler is a platform that helps dog owners discover local parks, connect with other dog owners, and coordinate play dates. The service is provided as-is for personal, non-commercial use.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. One person may hold one account. Provide accurate information — impersonation or intentionally misleading profiles are not allowed.
Accounts are provided at our sole discretion. We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate any account — including commercial or professional accounts — at any time, for any reason or no reason, with or without notice. No account holder is guaranteed continued access to the service.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Doggler for commercial advertising, solicitation, or spam.
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
- Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others.
- Attempt to access another user's account or private data.
- Scrape, crawl, or programmatically extract data from the service.
- Interfere with the operation or security of the platform.
5. Dog information and safety
Doggler relies on owner-provided information about dogs, including breed, temperament, and behavior notes. We do not verify this information. You are solely responsible for your dog's behavior during any interaction arranged through the platform. Doggler is not liable for injuries, property damage, or other incidents that occur during park visits or play dates.
5a. Park listings disclaimer
Doggler maintains a directory of dog parks based on publicly available information and user submissions. Inclusion of a park in our directory does not constitute a guarantee, endorsement, or representation that the location is dog-friendly, off-leash, safe, or suitable for your dog. Park rules, access policies, hours, and conditions change without notice to us. You are solely responsible for verifying that dogs are permitted at any location before visiting, obeying all posted signs, local ordinances, and leash laws, supervising your dog at all times, and following the specific rules and instructions of each park or property. Doggler is not liable for any incident, injury, fine, citation, or property damage arising from your reliance on park listings in our directory.
6. Content you provide
You retain ownership of any content you upload (photos, text, profile information). By uploading content, you grant Doggler a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute it as needed to operate, promote, and improve the service. This license continues until the content is deleted from the platform or your account is removed, after which we will cease active use within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required for legal or security purposes. You can delete your content at any time by removing it from your account.
7. Professional listings
Professional Board listings (walkers, sitters, trainers, veterinarians, etc.) are self-reported and subject to admin review. Doggler does not verify credentials, licenses, or qualifications. Hiring or engaging any professional found through the platform is at your own risk.
8. Lost and found dogs
Lost and found dog reports are community-submitted. Doggler makes reasonable efforts to display this information promptly but cannot guarantee accuracy or outcomes. Always contact local animal control for urgent situations.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these terms, abused the platform, or engaged in behavior that harms other users or the community. We also reserve the right to remove content or disable features at our discretion. You may request account deletion at any time by contacting us.
10. Limitation of liability
Doggler is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Doggler and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these terms or the service is limited to the greater of five U.S. dollars ($5) or the total amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Doggler, its operators, and their respective officers, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.
12. Dispute resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or your use of the service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Kent County, Michigan, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of those courts.
You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against Doggler or its operators. If this class action waiver is found to be unenforceable, then the entirety of this dispute resolution section shall be deemed void, except that the governing law and venue provisions shall remain in effect.
Nothing in this section limits your rights under mandatory consumer protection laws of your jurisdiction of residence where such laws cannot be waived by contract.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "last updated" date at the top. For material changes, we may provide additional notice. Your continued use of Doggler after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree to the revised terms, you should stop using the service.
